The four main stages of programme production

Programme production, whether in the case of broadcast television programmes or corporate video production consists of four main stages:

  1. research
  2. scriptwriting and storyboard
  3. planning ie. shooting schedule
  4. securing locations, acquiring permissions
  • assembly of rushes
  • animations
  • music
  • recording of voice-over
  • titles and graphics
  • rough edit
