The Shoot

The day of the Shoot is of paramount importance to the succes of your corporate video. It is essential that everything runs according to plan in order that we can acquire all the necessary footage to produce your corporate video of a quality that meets our criteria. We will work with you on making all the necessary arrangements to ensure this happens.

The expectations placed on our Client on the day of the Shoot vary from one project to another. We will discuss the degree of your involvement well in advance of the day of the Shoot to ensure you are happy with the arrangements.

Setting up on the day

lighting for a quality corporate videoThe crew will arrive well in advance of the time scheduled for the actual filming in order to set up equipment.

We will arrange this well in advance of the day as the careful setting-up of lighting and cameras is essential in order to produce images of the quality you will expect for your corporate video.

Professional broadcast equipment:

Cameras

the shoot - professional broadcast camera To produce your corporate video we will use professional broadcast equipment throughout the whole process from cameras, audio equipment and lighting, to editing suites and monitoring equipment.

We use professional cameras which are shoulder mountable, having a removable and interchangeable lens and digital picture processing, a large focal plain (capturing a high resolution image) and a proper optical lens, and capable of recording onto DVCAM or Digi-beta.

Lighting

the shoot - lighting on location Whether we are producing a broadcast television programme or a corporate video, we will not take any short cuts when it comes to lighting.

Good lighting is essential part of producing any programme. Sometimes we may decide to use the natural lighting available and merely diffuse or reflect the light in order to produce crisp, high quality images but often we will set-up our own professional lighting.

When planning the day of the shoot we will have allocated sufficient time to set-up the necessary lighting (although adjustments may be required as the natural lighting conditions alter), in order to produce crisp, clean images, thus producing a video of a superior quality.

Insufficient lighting or the lighting of the wrong colour temperature will not give your new product the glossy image you want, and the overall quality of your corporate video will be compromised. It is possible to correct footage to some extent in post-production but this is likely to take longer than the time scheduled. At Peak Vision TV we believe in getting things right on the day rather than having to work with inadequate footage in post-production.

The crew

The crew - the size of the crew will vary considerably depending on the size and complexities of the production. Often for a corporate video a crew consisting of a lighting cameraman and director will be adequate, accompanied by a presenter or actors as required. However, as the number involved rises and where the filming and therefore organization is more demanding we will increase the crew accordingly. There may be a sound recordist, a lighting engineer, runners etc.

Once we have the footage we begin with the post-production of your production.
