At Peak Vision TV we produce corporate videos of broadcast quality. We are used to working to broadcast standards and regardless of whether a production is for broadcast, we follow the same stringent quality control procedures based on standards published by the EBU (European Broadcasting Union).

Monitored quality

We monitor the quality of both the images and sound using vector scopes, waveform monitors, audio vector scopes and ppm meters, ensuring the end product is of the highest quality. As your video may be used on a wide range of televisions, plasma screens etc. you will require a programme with as much portability as possible.

A video produced with such monitoring is accurately reproduced and resulting in a high level of consistency in colors and superior sound quality, without distortion, when played on a variety of television sets and screens.

Professional broadcast equipment

To produce your corporate video we will use professional broadcast equipment throughout the whole process from cameras, audio equipment and lighting, to editing suites and monitoring equipment.

We use professional cameras which are shoulder mountable, having a removable and interchangeable lens and digital picture processing, a large focal plain (capturing a high resolution image) and a proper optical lens, and capable of recording onto DVCAM or Digi-beta.

Widescreen 16:9 not Letterbox

Most of our programmes are filmed in true widescreen 16:9 format although we can work in 4:3 if required. We believe that when a company is investing in a corporate video it ought to be produced as widescreen from the onset. UK Broadcast companies often demand widescreen, it is widely used at exhibitions and for presentations and is increasingly used in the home. In order to achieve this we support widescreen throughout the production process, starting with the camera. The format of the CCD chip in our cameras is widescreen 16:9, capturing a true widescreen image. We do not use letterbox formats of cropping to simulate widescreen as this may result in a substantial loss of picture quality and a drop in resolution.

Lighting

Whether we are producing a broadcast television programme or a corporate video, we will not take any short cuts when it comes to lighting.

Good lighting is essential part of producing any programme although the lighting needs will vary according to the amount and quality of the available lighting on a location and the nature of the images being produced. Sometimes minimal lighting may be required but natural lighting need to be diffused or reflected.


When we scout locations one of the considerations is the available light sources, possible uncontrollable light sources and the possible solutions to control the lighting. On the day of the shoot we will arrive with a selection of lighting chosen according to our location research. When planning the day of the shoot we will have allocated sufficient time to set-up the necessary lighting (although adjustments may be required as the natural lighting conditions alter), in order to produce much crisper, cleaner images, thus producing a video of a superior quality.
