Documentaries
Peak Vision TV have valuable experience in producing
documentaries of a broadcast standard. We appreciate how essential it
can be to have a sympathetic approach where the content is of a more sensitive
nature.
Peak Vision TV know what it is like to be filming
in the most hostile of environments, where it is essential to work quickly
and efficiently, where there can be no option of returning another day
to capture missing footage.
A
Light in the Shadow of Chernobyl
Produced in 2002.
The Chernobyl disaster took place in the early hours of Saturday 26th
April 1986. It was the world's worst nuclear disaster and was reported
to be 500 times more potent that the Hiroshima bomb, an ecological calamity
unprecedented in human history.
The people of Belarus, Western Russia and Northern Ukraine were the most
affected by the disaster, but such was the potency of the radiation released
that even sheep in Scotland and Wales were found to be affected at the
time. "Alight in the shadow of Chernobyl" was produced to increase
public awareness of the suffering still experienced today.

This little girl was sick in hospital in Eastern
Europe, as a direct result of the Chernobyl disaster some nineteen years
ago. The hospital had no medication to treat her with - she was expected
to be there for at least two years. She is just one of many children suffering
from radiation sickness.

The New Ark
This programme is in the early stages of production.
It has been an ongoing project capturing each stage of development as
it takes place in order that the necessary footage is acquired.
The
story is based on a very ordinary man, an architect by profession, who
sets out to put a revolutionary design for a completely circular auditorium
into practice (even the bricks being curved), resulting in the first 'New
Ark'.
Seeing the project through his eyes we begin to get to know Les, a rugged
but sensitive man, who when dealing with more serious issues still maintains
a light-hearted view of life. We share with him in the struggles and pitfalls
as each step of the way different challenges arise, but then the excitement
as the building gradually takes shape.
Will
he be able to overcome the numerous obstacles, the natural fatigue from
working on the project so intensively, the loneliness living on-site away
from family and friends? Will the New Ark ever be finished?
The tension builds but despite this Les carries on determined to not give
up! Where is that drive coming from? What is the sustaining power seen
throughout the project?

public awareness regarding environmental issues, cultures and lifestyles,
appeals etc. These can be provided on video or DVD according to the requirements
of the client.
